Notice Regarding Hospital & GP Referrals
Once we send your referral to the Hospital or your GP, it is logged and confirmed on our secure system.
If the Hospital or your GP surgery later state they have not received it, please be aware that this is not correct — we have confirmation it has been sent on our side.
For CUES Service Patients
If your referral was made through the CUES service, it is sent on their system, not ours.
We cannot access or amend these referrals.
For updates, please contact CUES directly on 0800 316 9200.
If the Hospital or GP say they haven’t received your referral, this needs to be taken up directly with CUES.
For Referrals Sent via the EyeV System
Referrals we send through the EyeV system are confirmed as sent in our records.
If the Hospital or GP say they haven’t received it, we are unable to take further action once our system confirms delivery.
Requesting a Copy of Your Referral
Due to administrative costs and the time required to print or email referrals, there is a £5 charge for providing a copy.
To protect patient confidentiality, all requests must be made by completing our Medical Request Form on our website.
Please request a copy at the time of your appointment or shortly afterwards.
Once a referral has been sent, it is the responsibility of the Hospital or GP to arrange your appointment. We cannot speed up their process. If you have not heard from them within the expected timeframe, please contact them directly.
